ESTATE PLANNING
The specific issues an estate planning attorney addresses vary by client. Financial, family, employment, and economic status, as well as specific goals for asset protection, incapacity planning, tax planning, or special needs, are all factors that are considered when crafting an estate plan.
GUARDIANSHIP
In Washington State, a Guardianship is a legal arrangement designed to protect an individual or his or her assets. A Guardian is the person or agency appointed to make decisions for someone who is unable to make competent decisions for himself/herself.
PROBATE and TRUST ADMINISTRATION
When a loved one dies, many complex issues must be resolved. Often, whether the individual died having executed a Last Will and Testament, a Living Trust or passed away without any planning, these issues are resolved during legal processes called probate or a Trust Administration.
CORPORATION
There are numerous types of business entities available, and our office can advise you with respect to the dangers and benefits of a particular business arrangement and suggest alternatives that may more fully meet and protect your business and personal needs.
REAL ESTATE
The purchase, sale, lease, rental, or gifting of real property is a significant decision. If you are selling or buying real property without the aid of a real estate agent, it is essential to have an experienced professional prepare or review the necessary documents to complete the transaction correctly.
ELDER LAW LITIGATION
Our firm has experience handling every aspect of elder law, probate, and estate litigation. This includes bringing and defending Will contest actions, guardianship actions, vulnerable adult proceedings, claims for fiduciary accountings, and claims in Trust actions. These are sometimes referred to as TEDRA actions in Washington State.
